Follow these steps to recover a forgotten email account password:

• First, Follow the steps you usually take to sign in to Yahoo Mail: go to mail.yahoo.com and you will see the standard login form; instead of entering your account information, click on the "I can't access my account" link at the bottom, as shown below:
  
  
• Yahoo Mail will redirect you to a screen that initiates the password recovery process; in that screen, select "I forgot my password", and continue.
• In the following page, enter your full Yahoo email address in the "My Yahoo! ID is" text field; then, enter the captcha code and click on the "Next" button.
• Yahoo Mail will now let you choose between entering "My alternate email is" in the text field, or choosing "I can't access any of the above" if you do not know which email account you used, or if you prefer to reset your password by answering the secret question you setup in the past. We'll enter our alternate email address (notice that Yahoo Mail reminds you which email provider you used), and click "Next".
  
  
• You will then see a confirmation screen that asks you to check your other email account: you will find a message that includes a link: follow the steps outlined in the new page that opens, and you will be able to reset your Yahoo Mail password at that stage. Type your new password and re-type it for confirmation, and click "Next" one last time.
